'The Cycling Scientist'

I created 'The Cycling Scientist' back in 2016 by bringing together her two main passions, cycling and science. Over the years I've been honoured to feature in Cycling Uk's '100 Women in Cycling' and continue to grow and thrive during the Covid-19 pandemic. I can even be found featured in the Holyrood magazine 'Fifty Women at 50' special edition!

What I do...

Bicycle Skills and Wellbeing

I believe cycling is one of the best ways to keep fit and stay healthy. No matter your age you can always ride a bike or learn to ride one.

I offer 1-2-1 and group riding skill classes so if you are new to cycling or simply want to grow and develop your skills you are in the right place!

Bike Mechanics

Maintaining the optimal function of your bicycle is very important. Not only do I service and repair bikes but I also offer a range of maintenance classes for all ages and skill levels. I offer 1-2-1, family, and corporate skill classes. Whether it's a university campus cycling event you're running or just want to learn how to fix a puncture - I've got you covered.

Dr. Bikes

A Dr. Bike is a pop-up mobile mechanic that can provide bike safety checks, advice and sometimes minor repairs, a portable workshop that brings bicycle maintenance facilities to events, schools, offices and other locations out on the road.

This provides a free service to event attendees and will look at your brakes, tyres, gears and the general roadworthiness of your bike.
